Public Australian universities include Australian Catholic University (ACU). It maintains a campus in Rome in addition to its seven Australian campuses. Ballarat, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Sydney (Blacktown, North Sydney, Strathfield), with a Leadership Centre in Adelaide and another in Townsville, are just a few of ACU's seven campuses spread out across Australia. The university and the Catholic University of America, which is based in Rome, Italy, collaborated to launch the Rome Centre in 2015. ACU offers a two-year postgraduate program leading to the Master of Psychology (Ed and Dev) degree that includes academic study, hands-on training in assessment, diagnosis, and intervention, a lifetime perspective, and the completion of a research project. A general psychologist can register after successfully completing the course, and they are then eligible for the two-year registrar program, which leads to the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA) endorsement in educational and developmental psychology. A general psychologist may register with The Psychology Board of Australia after successfully completing the course, and after completing an extra time of supervised practice, they may apply for an area of practice endorsement in educational and developmental psychology. Placement of Work: - Three practicum placements are completed by students throughout the programme. Typically, the on-campus training clinic serves as the site of the first practicum. Students get experience in assessment, diagnosis, and therapy during this placement while being closely supervised individually and in groups by seasoned psychologists. A psychologist who is an approved supervisor with the Psychology Board of Australia must oversee students. Most students do two six-month externships during the course's second year.
