The Master of Counselling program, which is approved by the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) and the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA), aims to foster reflective awareness, develop key clinical competencies, and offer a solid theoretical grounding for a career as a professional counsellor. Incorporating modern counseling theory, research, and practice while situating it within a Christian worldview and mental health framework is the focus of the degree program. It produces counselors who are knowledgeable about the professional and ethical standards of the counseling profession, who are sensitive to the diversity and individuality of individuals, families, and communities, and who value and advance the dignity, potential, and wellbeing of all people. These counselors also have a personal understanding of the personal, cultural, relational, psychological, social, and spiritual domains of human experience and functioning.
