This curriculum is designed to educate students for careers as nutritionists or dietitians. Graduates will be able to combine and apply advanced theoretical knowledge, skills, and qualities to promoting health and preventing and treating diet-related disorders in a variety of contexts. Graduates can apply scientific principles and critical thinking abilities to assess the larger environment influencing food supply and eating habits, as well as evaluate new advancements in this continuously changing field. The programme is taught at Flinders University's College of Nursing and Health Sciences and is based on approaches that promote lifelong learning in nutrition and dietetics. This course includes clinical internships designed to provide you the hands-on experience you'll need in the industry. There are interesting and diverse placement opportunities available in a variety of rural and interstate health settings. Travel and lodging expenses to remote and interstate postings will be covered.
