The main campus of publicly financed Lambton College is located in Sarnia. Toronto and Mississauga campuses of the institute are also available. The Lambton College Cloud Computing for Big Data, Ontario College Graduate Certificate provides a broad overview of the evolution of modern technology and the way it is implemented in various fields. Through this program, students learn how to apply cloud computing solutions to create a foundation for solutions that will increase efficiencies and profitability for today’s organizations.
In this course, students will cover Big Data as a collection of large and complex data sets. They will learn how to capture, curate, share and visualize their data in addition to the basics of virtualization. Students will develop cloud computing skills including internet communications and interactions in cloud computing along with the sensitive nature of personal and business data in such positions as cloud systems administrators, systems programmers and network administrators.
Please Note: This is not a Big Data Analytics program. It is a cloud computing program that focuses on the infrastructure required to allow for Big Data analysis to occur. Students interested in Big Data Analytics are recommended to consider Big Data Analytics or Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning.
