Manukau Institute of Technology (MIT), a Category One Institute of Technology in Auckland, New Zealand, was founded in 1970. According to the New Zealand Qualifications Authority's (NZQA) evaluations, Category One is the highest possible educational classification. Over 14,000 students are enrolled at MIT, one of New Zealand's leading providers of technical, vocational, and professional education.
