Southern Cross University, which comprises campuses in New South Wales, southeast Queensland, Lismore, and Coffs Harbour, is located on Australia's east coast. On the university's Coffs Harbour campus is the National Marine Science Centre. Working together with EduCo allows the branch campuses in Melbourne, Perth, and Sydney to function. The institution runs the Hotel Schools in Sydney, Brisbane, and Melbourne in conjunction with Mulpha Australia.

 

Degrees are available from Southern Cross University through partnerships with China and Papua New Guinea. Southern Cross University only had 151 students when it was a Teachers College in the 1970s. Back then, it was called Lismore Teachers College. The institution changed its name to Northern Rivers College of Advanced Education in 1973. It changed in the 1990s, and in 1994 it eventually developed into a university with a distinct character. Professor Barry Conyngham served as Southern Cross University's first vice chancellor. In 1995, there were about 95 students from abroad enrolled.

People who are having problems with their finances, health, relationships, or mental health may find solace in social workers. You can acquire the knowledge, values, and abilities necessary to practice social work in a strategic, moral, and reflective manner with this course. Applicants with prior experience in the social sciences, social welfare, psychology, or allied subjects are most prepared for our certified Master of Social Work (Professional Qualifying). This program will look at leadership in social work organizations, child protection, social policy and law, health issues affecting Indigenous populations, and social policy. Additionally, you'll practice under the guidance of a seasoned social worker. As a graduate, you'll be ready for a career as a professional social worker in Australia and may potentially be qualified for employment overseas.

 

Please note: All students, including those enrolled online, are required to participate in on-campus learning for a minimum of 20 days/150hrs over the duration of the course. This requirement is stipulated by the Australian Social Work Education and Accreditation Standards (ASWEAS). Students meet this requirement by attending compulsory residential schools conducted at the Gold Coast campus.

Scholarship:  $8,000 maximum fee reduction for your first scholarship year.
