In Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, there is a public research institution called the institution of Regina. The Regina Campus of the University of Saskatchewan was established in 1961 after being established in 1911 as a private denominational high school of the Methodist Church of Canada. It began an association with the university as a junior college in 1925, was disaffiliated from the church and fully ceded to the university in 1934, and in 1961 it became a degree-granting institution. The University of Regina has benefited from partnership arrangements with provincial crown companies, governmental agencies, and private businesses by helping students find work experience opportunities and secure employment after graduation. In more than 15 fields, including business administration, social work, health, engineering, media, and more, the University of Regina offers over 120 UG programs and more than 80 PG degrees. Additionally, the university offers a cooperative education work experience program that allows students to earn money while they study and has a maximum earning potential of $10 million.
