The University of Southern Queensland, also known as UniSQ and formerly known as USQ, is a medium-sized regional university with three campuses located in Toowoomba, Springfield, and Ipswich in Queensland, Australia. It provides classes in the following fields: law, medicine, engineering, science, business, education, and the arts. It runs three research institutes and seven research centers that concentrate on a variety of commercial, agricultural, scholarly, scientific, technological, and environmental challenges.

Australia's largest Japanese-designed garden, Australia's largest solar-integrated parking, and a library with rainforest and water elements are among the university's notable features. The university has received praise for its initiatives to reduce violence against women, and the Federal Government's Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) named it an employer of choice for gender equality.

As a regional university, UniSQ makes sure that its curricula meet the needs of the local and regional labor market, participate in regional social and economic development, and support the local community.

Do you wish to pursue a career in psychology? For those of you who want to work as practitioners, UniSQ has designed the Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) program.

In the curriculum, a strong focus is placed on the development of research and professional abilities, as well as a profound comprehension of the ethical concepts that guide psychological practice. You will participate in research projects and activities that develop professional psychology abilities throughout your degree. You will have been exposed to treatment plans and gained expertise interpreting psychological exams by the time you complete your degree.

CAREER OUTCOMES

  • With this degree, you can pursue a career as a clinical or professional psychologist.
  • Careers in workplace health and safety, change management, professional development, community consultation, and advocacy are frequent choices for licensed psychologists.
