The University of Southern Queensland, also known as UniSQ and formerly known as USQ, is a medium-sized regional university with three campuses located in Toowoomba, Springfield, and Ipswich in Queensland, Australia. It provides classes in the following fields: law, medicine, engineering, science, business, education, and the arts. It runs three research institutes and seven research centers that concentrate on a variety of commercial, agricultural, scholarly, scientific, technological, and environmental challenges.

Australia's largest Japanese-designed garden, Australia's largest solar-integrated parking, and a library with rainforest and water elements are among the university's notable features. The university has received praise for its initiatives to reduce violence against women, and the Federal Government's Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) named it an employer of choice for gender equality.

As a regional university, UniSQ makes sure that its curricula meet the needs of the local and regional labor market, participate in regional social and economic development, and support the local community.

With the help of UniSQ's Master of Cyber Security (Technical), you can efficiently identify vulnerabilities, stop intrusions, and control cyber risks.

Learn to critically evaluate, analyze, and put into practice a variety of inventive, clever solutions to corporate issues including cyber security. The use of cryptography in network security, big data management and analytics, and the best security procedures for cloud-based corporate settings will all be topics you will study.  Learn about ethical hacking, where you will identify and fix holes in a company's security systems that a hacker would try to exploit. The practical capstone research project allows you the chance to collaborate with business and put theory into practice in a lab setting at UniSQ or at your place of employment.

CAREER OUTCOMES

  • You will acquire internationally applicable abilities that you may use in a variety of situations in business, law enforcement, and the public sector.
  • Start your career as an ethical hacker, digital forensic analyst, security auditor, security software developer, cryptographer, or IT manager by putting your cyber security expertise to use.
