The parliament passed an act in 1897 that resulted in the creation of Victoria University of Wellington. Because it was the 60th anniversary of the Queen's coronation in 1897, it was given her name. Around 17000 students are registered at the institution, of whom 4000 are from other countries. It has three campuses, the main one of which is in Kelburn, New Zealand, and is home to the faculties of engineering, health, social science, and education, as well as the faculties of humanities and social science. The Faculty of Management and the Facilities of Law, Finance, Government, Finances, and Information Technology are located on the Pipitea campus, which is near to the New Zealand Parliament building. The Faculty of Design and Architecture is located on the Te Aro campus, which is the third campus. Auckland CBD also offers courses through Victoria University. At Victoria University of Wellington, design courses teach you how to creatively use technology to create fresh approaches to reshaping the world. At an advanced undergraduate level, research a new design discipline. A GDipDI will increase your understanding in a field you haven't previously studied, allowing you to either deepen your degree program or utilize it as a launching pad for master's study in that field. A mix of 200- and 300-level courses from the Bachelor of Design Innovation (BDI) program will be your main study focus. If you plan to pursue a Master in Design Innovation, the Diploma allows you the freedom to select courses that will assist you choose a topic for your Master's study. You have the option of pursuing a general diploma or specializing in one of the following areas: media design, game design, industrial design, interaction design, fashion design technology, communication design, animation and visual effects.
